Huh, finally, Semester 1 of 2nd year come to an end. It has been a really pleasant semester. I was taking Genetics, Biochemistry, Statistics, Cell Biology and Psychology and it had been a really fun semester. I think I screwed up my Biochemistry Final tho. Finger-crossed that it will be fine. ~
I had been volunteering in Central Animal Facility for rabbit, guinea pig and mice socializing. It was really fun and I will be volunteering too for the Winter'01 semester. Didn't dare to socia lize mice tho cause they have really long tails which freak me out.
Had been volunteering as a sight-guider for Center for Student with Disabilities. I found this involvement quite interesting and went ahead to apply as a Peer Helper with this unit. Initially, I did not have high hope to be recruited but I get it tho. So, I will be starting my role as a Peer Helper starting the Winter'01 semester. Hope that this will be a really good experience for me too. Have to go for a mandatory core training for 2 days tho before university start.
Having dilemma right now. Hmm.. Deciding whether should I go back to Malaysia this summer. I haven't even sit for my Graduate Recore Examination(GRE) which is required for applying to vet college. Sigh...I need vet experiences too. Still deciding whether to complete them here or in Malaysia. The problem is, the find a vet clinic and work with vets is not easy as everyone who is going to apply to vet college need these experiences too. Another sigh... The competition to gain a hand in the field is so big... Despite of all these, my sister is going to graduate from UM this summer. I really want to be with my family to share the joys and of course, taking photos. Hope I can make my mind real soon cause I will need to buy flight tickets once I decide.
Oh ya, I am also a costume crew for a coming musical show called Reefer Madness. Really excited to have the oppurtunity to take part in a musical production. Will be really busy making costumes for the actors and actress I guess starting next semester. The musical will take place around March if I am not mistaken.
And, some update on what I will be taking next semester. I will be taking Biochemistry(again, hope I will do better tho), Molecular Biology, Nutrition, Philosophy for Medicine and Medical Embryology. Sound intense but I hope everything will be fine too. =)
One more thing, I think I am going to apply to become an orientation volunteer for next year intake. Will be really tiring during the Orientation Week but I think it will be a great experience.
Life get complicated when we grow up, ain't it?
AND AND AND, I dyed my hair back to black. Plan to trim it but I will see, as it is not cheap to do any amendment to your hair here. Haha.. =)
Happy Holidays everyone. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope 2010 will be a good year for you guys. Cheers!!!
28 more days to 2nd year of degree...a bit reluctant to go back but at the same time excited too. =)
30 more days to Niagara Falls... can't wait..
P/S: Yi Ning faster come back. Can't wait to hang out with you guys.
you guys notice what time is it now? I am having this sleeping-at-5a.m.-disease now. Gotta change this bad habit after coming back from Halifax and PEI.
Times really flies and it is almost the end of July now. One more month and my 2nd degree year will start. Okay, some update about my current life. Last Friday, Siew Lung came to Guelph for a week and we brought her around Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo and Missisauga.
We went to Kitchener-Waterloo just for the famous St. Jacob's Farmers Market which sells a lot of farmers' own harvested crops. There are a lot of people bringing their family to the farmer's market either to buy things or just to relax themselves. We had our brunch there and after that, we walked around and bought some fruits and vegetables which are so fresh. Bought Strawberries for only $CAD 1.00 per box and the strawberries were so huge and juicy. Spent $CAD 6.00 for peaches from Niagara as well too. The farmers there are so friendly that they are willing to let you try anything first before you decide to buy from them. So kind of them. =)
Berries..yum yum..
We bought these too to grill them. So fresh and yet so cheap. Love peppers..
These are the most famous food there.Apple Fritters. The queue to buy these was super long and we waited for about half an hour. Not so nice compare to Guelph's one. ^.^
P/S: Ended here 1st. Stupid blogspot. I can't upload my photos. Edit next time.
PP/S: It is so sunny and hot today. Sigh..Complaining about the temperature when it was only 24 degree. I am going to die of heat stroke/hyperthermia next year when I am back to Malaysia.
